Mastershield Gutter Protection

With the seasonal task of gutter cleaning looming for anyone who maintains a home or property with gutters, MasterShield Gutter Protection can finally put an end to this dirty, tedious task. Providing innovative leaf guard technology for more than six years, the MasterShield product is available through independent installers in the U.S. and Canada. MasterShield is a micro mesh gutter guard from inventor Alex Higginbotham, who received a patent for creating the very first micro mesh gutter guard in 2001. Building Product Magazine placed this innovative technology on its Top 100 list in back-to-back years.

Since debuting, Higginbotham has been awarded eight more US patents for different ways of achieving micro mesh gutter guard technology. The product is backed with a manufacturer’s warranty on product performance. The company offers refunds to customers whose gutter interior clogs because debris collects over the downspout and causes water to overflow. In the unlikely event that a clog results in damage to a home, MasterShield also offers to pay insurance deductibles up to $1500. MasterShield installers guarantee their own installations.

Fitting MasterShield to a gutter involves attaching it to the front lip after sliding it under the first course of roof shingles. This installation methodology does not impact the roof's integrity and has been approved by the nation’s largest roof shingle manufacturer not to void their shingle warranty. The product can be installed on most gutter types: fascia, half rounds, traditional K-style (ogee), and comes in over a dozen colors as well as copper. A member with of environmentally friendly organizations, MasterShield belongs to the U.S. Green Build Counsel and the American Rainwater Catchment Systems Association. The product also can be used to complete projects for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification.

The majority of the MasterShield product is constructed of recycled aluminum and stainless steel. Its recycled materials make it a natural complement for rainwater harvesting as part of a LEED certification. The gutter protection system has been installed on every type of property, from classic capes to multi-unit apartment complexes and condominiums. From classic asphalt shingles, to tile and metal roofs where turbulent flow of water can be an issue, MasterShield handles more rain than the gutter below it has been designed to handle.

Interested customers can find product feature information and arrange for an estimate via the company website, MasterShield.com.
