Malika Garrett
An experienced business strategist and creative marketing professional, Malika Garrett draws on more than 20 years of experience as Associate Director of Business Development at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where she works in the Office of Executive Programs. With an extensive background in the consumer packaged goods industry, Malika Garrett serves as a liaison between major companies and the Georgia Tech College of Management. She helps companies to achieve their education and training goals through the institute’s services.
Malika Garrett’s extensive experience has helped the company obtain business from prominent brands such as Häagen-Dazs, Gatorade, Coca-Cola, and Kodak. Applying her marketing acumen, she continues to be an asset, contributing to the success of her current company.
Prior to accepting her current role, Malika Garrett served as a Consultant and Sales Manager at Eco Design World, a producer of sustainable furniture. Garrett led the company’s marketing initiatives, employing her creative skills to collaborate on the firm’s promotional pieces and websites. Furthermore, she cultivated relationships with corporations such as Hyatt, Hilton, and Marriott.
Additionally, Malika Garrett is an accomplished painter. Her work has been featured in private galleries throughout the world, including a solo show at Atlanta’s Woodruff Arts Center where 25 of her paintings were displayed. As the first Indian to receive the honor, Garrett creates paintings that showcase everyday life in her native India. Originally from Calcutta, she speaks fluent Bengali and Hindi. Garrett lives with her husband and two children in Georgia.
