Kristin Gaspar
Kristin Gaspar received the most votes of all candidates running for city council in the recent November 2010 elections in Encinitas, California. She is the youngest person to occupy a council seat in the city’s history, bringing a record of successful business and financial management as the CFO of a local physical therapy practice. She also held a number of offices in various community organizations. Kristin Gaspar served a term as President of the Encinitas Rotary Club and, as well as serving as President of the San Dieguito Sports Medicine & Scholarship Foundation. Ms. Gaspar is a Dean’s List scholar and a graduate from the renowned Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University. This school, named after one of most respected American broadcast reporters of the 20th century, is ranked 3rd in the nation. Kristin Gaspar earned her Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism from this prestigious institution before assuming her present role as CFO at her husband’s practice. Her work for Gaspar Doctors of Physical Therapy has included overseeing the financial aspects of the steady expansion of the practice, which now encompasses six offices, and the practice's inclusion as a RoPE (Recognition of Practice Excellence) program participant. The practice is the first in California to be included in the California Physical Therapy Association program.
