James D. Thilking is an exceptional and experienced financial advisor. After graduating from Claremont McKenna College in Claremont, California, with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, James D. Thilking went on to hold many high-ranking positions with various companies in the financial services industry, the first being with Paine Webber in Los Angeles, California, from 1986 to 1989. Next, James D. Thilking became the Office Manager of Prudential Securities, LLC in 1989 until the company’s merger with Wachovia Securities, LLC. Thilking secured a job with the newly reformatted company and was promoted to Senior Vice President. As the Senior Vice President of Wachovia Securities, LLC, James D. Thilking acted as a financial advisor to the bank’s high-net-worth clientele until 2005. In 2005, James D. Thilking began working at Bear Stearns Companies, Inc., in Los Angeles. For three years, Thilking served as a Managing Director at Bear Stearns Companies, Inc., again acting as a financial advisor to the bank’s wealthier clients. In 2008, Thilking accepted his current position, as Senior Vice President of Morgan Stanley Smith Barney LLC in Beverly Hills, California. Continuing to do what he does best, James D. Thilking successfully manages Morgan Stanley Smith Barney LLC’s clientele with high net worth. Outside of work, James D. Thilking, an avid sports fan, enjoys basketball, hockey, and baseball. His favorite teams from each of these respective sports are the Los Angeles Lakers, the Los Angeles Kings, and the New York Yankees. Thilking frequently attends performances by the uplifting Los Angeles Philharmonic but also takes time to unwind with a good book. Some of James D.
