James Galowski
Currently working with New York-based Stone Tower Capital, James Galowski lives in Ridgefield, Connecticut. Having been with Stone Tower Capital for over five years, Mr. Galowski functions as a Partner and head of the Structured Capital division. In this capacity, he manages teams of employees, sets the global initiatives for advisory and investment decisions involving structured credit, and contributes to the overall strategy discussion of the firm’s investment committee.
Before joining Stone Tower Capital, James Galowski used his knowledge, training, and business acumen in a variety of roles with WestLB, an international banking interest with offices in New York and abroad. While at WestLB’s New York office, Mr. Galowski held the title of President and was responsible for restructuring $32 billion of corporate and asset-backed fixed-income sectors. In addition, Mr. Galowski served on the global board of the company, applying 15 years of experience with the company to a variety of roles in international offices.
Earning a Bachelor of Science in Finance from St. John’s University, James Galowski later returned to New York City to pursue an advanced degree while employed by WestLB. He acquired a Master of Business Administration from Fordham University shortly before receiving a promotion to WestLB’s Singapore office that carried with it responsibility for the Asia-Pacific region.
