Irakly Kaveladze
Irakly Kaveladze, the Vice President of ZAO Crocus International in Moscow, remains active in his community by supporting a number of local and international charities. He contributes to Save the Children, and also donates to Kiva.org, a company that funds entrepreneurships around the world. More locally, Irakly Kaveladze supports Hospice.ru, an organization that raises funds for cancer patients in Russia.
Kaveladze works in international investment project structuring for ZAO Crocus, meaning that he is in charge of tracking foreign investments into the correct funds for ZAO projects. Some of the specific projects that Kaveladze has assisted with include the construction of the Far Eastern Federal University’s campus in Russia. This campus, which encompasses more than eight million square feet, remains the largest in the country. Kaveladze also helped expand the TVOY DOM do-it-yourself chain of stores in Russia.
When Kaveladze first joined ZAO Crocus International, he was hired as an Analyst. Within the first five years of his employment, he received a promotion to Senior Vice President. His role with the company has saved the organization $20 million a year, helping to restructure a loan portfolio worth $550 million at a radically lower interest rate.
Kaveladze attended the Moscow Finance Academy for his undergraduate education, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Economics. He later enrolled at an American institution, the University of New Haven in Connecticut, where he pursued and received a Master of Business Administration. Irakly Kaveladze returned to Russia after graduating from the University of New Haven to follow a career at ZAO Crocus International.
