Highland Fairview Co
Highland Fairview is a privately held real estate development company specializing in large scale commercial, industrial and residential developments. One of its recent projects is the develpopment of the 1.8 million square feet Skechers North American Operations Headquarters located at the Highland Fairview Corporate Park, which when completed will be the largest facility to be LEED-certified by the U.S. Green
Building Council. As a sustainable industrial building, the Highlands Fairview Business Park was designed with a focus on minimizing environmental impacts.
Iddo Benzeevi, the Chief Executive Officer of Highland Fairview points to the positive effect the creation of the park will have on the Riverside County suburb. The park will create more than 3,000 jobs in Moreno Valley in a number of different capacities. Outside of the jobs needed for the physical construction of the park, Highland Fairview anticipates the creation of about 2,500 permanent jobs in management, supervision, marketing, retail sales, information technology, and finance and accounting. The company also employed over 1,100 construction workers to build the facility which also added much needed jobs to the area. The fiscal impact analysis done for the project by the city indicateds that the business park will contribute close to $197 million annualy to the local economy.
Highland Fairview is also in the midst of plans to create a state-of-the-art medical campus in Southern California. In collaboration with the City of Moreno Valley, Kaiser Permanente, the Riverside County Regional Medical Center, the Riverside Community College District, and the University of California, Riverside School of Medicine, Highland Fairview will be the designated developer fore the project. Centered in what some refer to as a "golden triangle" between two hospitals and the Moreno Valley College Allied Health campus, the medical campus will be a state of the art medical "city" set in a resort like environment. Industry leaders anticipate the medical campus will lead the change in the approach to health care by promoting health rather than only focusing on the treatment of disease. This focus on patients' overall wellness instead of their ailments makes the project particularly appealing for Highland Fairview. Mr. Benzeevi is enthusiastic about the involvement of Highland Fairview in the creation of "an environment that promotes wellness, not sickness."
