George Dennis
Founded when his father started to lose his hearing, George Dennis’ company TV Ears, Inc. began in 1998 to provide a solution to consumers with hearing loss who couldn’t afford hearing aids. With television being the number one pastime in America, Dennis recognized a hole in the market for related hearing devices, and spent two years researching, designing, and developing the wireless headset and bringing the product to a wide distribution stage. Now the number-one selling brand for wireless TV listening devices and endorsed by audiologists and doctors across the country, George Dennis’ TV Ears has seen remarkable success. In addition to wireless headsets designed to help consumers hear better, TV Ears offers speakers, television sets, and universal remotes. The company recently expanded its product line to include accessories that assist customers in hearing better in a variety of other situations. Designed to work on any television set, TV Ears wireless headsets utilize proprietary technology to enhance dialog on the screen and diminish background noise in order to allow listeners to better follow the action onscreen. The headsets are compatible with hearing aids, and also allow those with hearing loss to enjoy television with others in the room without having to increase the volume. Emotionally connected to the conception of the company and committed to consistently providing a high-quality products and excellent customer service, George Dennis brought a background in the medical device and product marketing industry to TV Ears. Prior to founding the company, he spent five years as the Operations Officer at VQ OrthoCare, an orthopedic equipment and medical device company. While there, much of Dennis’ role focused on building the VQ OrthoCare brand, and he introduced the company to private labeling. This experience proved invaluable to his current role as Chief Executive Officer at TV Ears, where one of his main responsibilities is protecting and building the TV Ears brand. As Chief Executive Officer and founder, Dennis was a finalist for Ernst & Young’s 2009 Entrepreneur of the Year, and TV Ears was named one of Inc.’s 2008 fastest growing companies in America. When not searching for ways to further facilitate TV Ears’ growth and researching new products, Dennis enjoys cooking, wine, and golf.
