Fred Winsmann
Fred Winsmann, a native of Ashland, Massachusetts, is a professional psychologist practicing in the Boston area. He provides psychotherapy to a variety of clients, while also performing forensic evaluations and testifying in the Courts of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. His current primary professional interest is attachment theory and volitional control in relation to behavior.
Fred Winsmann graduated with Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees, with honors from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell and served in the United States Air Force Reserve. He has trained and worked at such institutions as the Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veterans’ Affairs Medical Center, Charles River Hospital, The Behavioral Healthcare Network of Massachusetts, and Herbert Lipton Community Mental Health Center. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Psychology, with an Emphasis in Clinical Psychology, from the Fielding Graduate University in Santa Barbara, California.
In his free time, Fred Winsmann enjoys movies, reading, hiking, automobiles, playing basketball, participating in kung fu and tai-chi, and watching baseball and football. Classic movies are a favorite of his and these include Casablanca, Harvey, The Fountainhead, and The Man in the Grey Flannel Suit.
