Evan Williams
Mr. Evan C. Williams is an investor and land developer who currently serves as Chairman and CEO of Williams Land Limited, an environmentally conscious New Zealand firm. Evan Williams has gone on to found and develop a number of waterfront developments in New Zealand, notably in Northland and Auckland as well as the Bay of Islands. Mr. Williams currently divides his time between his various land development projects at Williams Land and leadership positions he holds for a number of other firms. Mr. Williams is a Director for Parents, Inc., and The Waterfront Fund. Evan Williams is also the founding shareholder and Director for Yasawa Holdings Limited. Recently he has served as an Advisory Director for Marsh & McLenna NZ Ltd. and was a founding shareholder and Chairman for Tabua Investments Limited. Additionally, Williams was a founding shareholder and Director for Mataka Limited and BreamTail Limited. He has also served as director for the Irish firm AerCo Limited. Mr. Evan Williams began his career in law and education at Victoria University, in Wellington New Zealand. After receiving both his Bachelor and Master of Laws degrees from that institution he took up a position as a member of the Law Faculty, a post he held for three years. Upon leaving Victoria University, Mr. Evan C. Williams took a position as a commercial lawyer specializing in large cross border mergers and acquisitions, Initial Public Offerings and capital markets transactions. Mr. Williams earned a partner position at Chapman Tripp, and he worked in this capacity for over a decade, overseeing a period of tremendous growth for the firm. Evan C. Williams also served as the company's Chairman. Mr. Evan Williams left Chapman Tripp in 1995 and changed his focus to investing. Initially his energy was concentrated within the private equity sector, which in turn lead him to a head position in the development of the successful island resort project of Denarau Island. Mr. Williams enjoys traveling for business and pleasure and currently resides in New Zealand.
