Ernest Grotsky
When it comes to construction management, Ernest Grotsky draws on a broad range of experience. Ernest Grotsky most recently served as Senior Project Manager for CB, Richard Ellis. Prior to his professional pursuits, Ernest Grotsky received extensive training from multiple institutions. He holds an Associate degree in Architectural Technology from Henry Ford Community College in Dearborn, Michigan, and a certificate in Construction Law and Labor Relations from Pepperdine University School of Law in Malibu, California.
Ernest Grotsky has supervised many major construction projects, each one posing new challenges. As a Building Inspector with the Sarasota, Florida, county government, Ernest Grotsky familiarized himself with the contractor community and verified that all local buildings stayed within plumbing, construction, mechanical, and electrical codes. Subsequently working for Kortech Consulting Incorporated, Ernest Grotsky’s duties included interpreting construction drawings and inspecting documents for the $18.5 million 3M construction project in Livonia, Michigan. Ernest Grotsky also served as Vice President of Operations and Project Manager for John S. Clark Company, Inc. In this capacity, Ernest Grotsky managed the company’s safety and risk management programs, as well as strategic planning. Ernest Grotsky worked directly with nine project managers and the architects, owners, and subcontractors of several multimillion-dollar projects. During his tenure as Senior Project Manager at Brooks Construction, Ernest Grotsky earned many bids for school and public work projects, such as the high-tech hazardous materials wing at North Carolina A&T State University. Ernest Grotsky implemented a five-year plan to generate a new construction division for Brooks, training and teaming up new hires at the same time.
Also an entrepreneur, Ernest Grotsky founded G & W Masonry Systems of Columbus, Ohio, in 1979. In 1982, Ernest Grotsky expanded G & W into Construction Systems of Palm Beaches, Inc. From 1982 to 1994, this company specialized in general and concrete subcontracting, and concrete pumping. In addition to his professional pursuits, Ernest Grotsky is a fellow of the American Society of Professional Estimators, the National Association of Home Builders, and the American Concrete Institute. Ernest Grotsky is also the former Chair of the Masonry Institute of Columbus, Ohio. At Manatee Community College, now State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota, Ernest Grotsky has conducted workshops in capital management, safety methods, and construction site productivity improvement. Ernest Grotsky is a proud patron of the Paralyzed Veterans and USO Firefighters of America. He currently lives in College Park, Maryland.
