Dustin Frankel
Amateur filmmaker Dustin Frankel is the writer, director, and editor behind the silent short film “Spoils of Love,” which he also appears in. A native of Dallas, Texas, Mr. Frankel currently attends college in Washington. When he is not in school, Dustin Frankel also enjoys leading an active lifestyle and giving back to his community. A Red Cross CPR/AED and first aid certified lifeguard, Dustin Frankel keeps fit by swimming and running marathons. He also enjoys listening to music, watching movies, and reading. Included in his list of favorite authors are John Steinbeck, Stephen King, Larry McMurtry, Arthur C. Clarke, and William Shakespeare. In addition to his various hobbies and interests, Mr. Frankel also makes time to give back to those less fortunate. He has donated time and resources to Jonathan’s Place, a Dallas area charity which benefits children who have been abused or neglected. Most recently, Frankel has helped collect numerous new and gently used books to donate to the children helped through Jonathan’s Place programs. Mr. Frankel has also helped the children in his community by volunteering to assist in the renovation of a local playground, through painting and priming play structures.
