Dr. Scott Stoney

Dr. Scott Stoney serves as the Medical Director and Chief Executive Officer of California Rehabilitation, Inc. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from Rutgers Medical School, now part of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, in 1987, later receiving his Master of Business Administration at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California.

From 1988 to 1991, Dr. Scott Stoney studied in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of California, Irvine, where he later served as a Professor. Having grown up in New Jersey, Dr. Stoney moved to California to pursue a career in both pediatric and adult pain medicine, serving as the Medical Director of the pain management program at California Rehabilitation, Inc., since 1991.

In 1991, Dr. Scott Stoney also accepted a position at the National Pain Institute of Huntington Beach, Inc., where he served as the Director of Rehabilitation Services. In 1992, he joined Tustin Rehabilitation Hospital as its Medical Director, later working as a Regional Rehabilitation Consultant for Regency Health Services Inc., and, simultaneously, Medical Review Officer and Medical Director responsible for employee health concerns at Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian in Newport Beach. In 1999, Dr. Scott Stoney accepted a position as the Medical Director of Newport Rehabilitation Hospital, remaining in that post until 2004.

In addition to his various professional roles, Dr. Scott Stoney has served on a number of Boards. From 2002 to 2007, he served as a member of the Board of the International Centre for Child and Family Studies, answering directly to former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, the Chair. Since 2008, he has been a member of the Boards of the National Fibromyalgia Association and the Pepperdine Alumni Association. Dr. Scott Stoney is also a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, and American Academy of Pain Medicine.

Active in the Newport Beach community, Dr. Stoney is a member of the Board of the Children’s Hospital of Orange County Foundation, contributing to AIDS services at the hospital.

Dr. Stoney treats chronic pain at California Rehabilitation and Pain Management in Newport Beach California. He treats chronic pain, neck pain, back pain, migraine headaches, headache pain, fibromyalgia, nerve pain and nerve injury pain, joint pain, tendonitis, failed spine surgery pain, arthritis, TMJ, RSD and complex regional pain.
