Dr. Irfan Rana
A family practitioner and emergency room physician based in Texas, Dr. Irfan Rana graduated from Aitchison College, Lahore in Pakistan. During his studies, he served as Vice President of the Biology Society and played cricket, hockey, and football. He subsequently earned his medical degree from Baqai Medical College at Baqai Medical University in Karachi, Pakistan. An exceptional student, Dr. Rana earned honors in pathology, microbiology, pharmacology, anatomy, biochemistry, medicine, surgery, pediatrics, and ophthalmology.
Dr. Irfan Rana began his medical career serving in private practice at a family medicine clinic in Lahore. Afterward, Dr. Rana fulfilled a psychiatric volunteership at the Audie L. Murphy VA Hospital, affiliated with The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He also completed a medicine and geriatric volunteership in Champaign, Illinois. He subsequently completed his internship and residency in family medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, AHEC Pine Bluff. In the last year of his residency, he worked at two Arkansas hospitals. Following the completion of his residency, he served at Rana Family Medicine in Grand Saline, Texas. He currently works in the emergency room at De Queen Medical Center in De Queen, Arkansas.
Licensed to practice medicine in Texas and Arkansas, Dr. Irfan Rana holds certification in Advanced Trauma Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support. Additionally, Dr. Rana is certified by The American Board of Family Medicine, Inc., Pakistan Medical & Dental Council, and Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates.
Actively involved in his profession, Dr. Irfan Rana belongs to the Arkansas Medical Society, American Medical Association, American Academy of Family Physicians, Texas Medical Association, Association of Physicians of Pakistani Descent of North America, and Texas Association of Family Physicians. Dr. Rana lives in Forney, Texas.
