Daryl Julie Rothman
Daryl Julie Rothman has consistently proven herself to be a dedicated student at the University of Hartford in Connecticut. With a high GPA and an appearance on Dean’s List, Ms. Rothman will graduate in 2012 with both a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and an Undergraduate Diploma in Vocal Performance. Outside of the classroom, Ms. Rothman has acted as Mentor Resident Assistant, assisting 15 RAs in supervising their community of students.
A concerned humanitarian, Daryl Rothman volunteered this summer (2011) for the organization Seva Mandir in Udaipur, India, where she worked to develop a program to benefit preteen children. She plans to return there next summer to implement the program. She also served as an intern for Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), a child advocacy group, in Passaic County. Additionally, Ms. Rothman channeled her concern for children into volunteer hours with Kids for Kids of New Jersey Inc. Throughout more than a decade with the nonprofit organization, she assisted in raising money to purchase and distribute school supplies for children in need, participated in over 50 community service events, and joined in various fundraisers that brought in more than $150,000.
In addition to her involvement in charitable work, Daryl Rothman spent her high school years completing a three-year intensive program in The Juilliard School’s Pre-College Division and honing her skills as a thespian and vocalist. Cast in roles such as Rose in the New York City Opera’s production of The Little Prince, she further developed her abilities in demanding summer programs at the Académie internationale d’été in Nice, France, and Papermill Playhouse Summer Conservatory. In 2007, she graduated from the Professional Children’s School in New York City, juggling a full schedule of classes and other activities.
Throughout her time as a student in both college and high school, Daryl J. Rothman has achieved a balance among her various pursuits that will serve her well throughout her career.
