Curtis Lyman

An accomplished legal professional and financial executive with more than three decades of experience, Curtis Lyman has substantially contributed to the growth and profitability of numerous organizations. In 1970, he enrolled at Hiram College in Ohio, from which he graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Economics. In 1977, he obtained his Juris Doctor at the Case Western Reserve University School of Law in Cleveland, Ohio.

In 1977, Mr. Lyman joined the family law firm of Lyman and Lyman in Albion, New York, where he represented individual, corporate, and municipal clients regarding a wide array of legal issues over eight years. Transitioning to the financial services industry in 1985, Mr. Lyman accepted a position as a Financial Advisor with Merrill Lynch, a leading firm, in Palm Beach, Florida. In this capacity, he provided high-net-worth clientele with a variety of progressive wealth management services.

An established financial professional by the early 1990s, Curtis Lyman founded a trust company as a part of Raymond James Financial. After securing a company charter in a challenging regulatory environment, he spent five years as Chief Executive Officer of the trust fund. During this period, he substantially expanded the company and acquired such organizations as Sound Trust Company in Washington State. From 1998 until the early 2000s, Mr. Lyman continued his career as a financial executive as Chief Executive Officer of Wilmington Trust’s Florida-based operations.

Today, Curtis Lyman holds the title of Senior Managing Director with HighTower Advisors, a leading investment advisory firm with clients throughout the United States. He also acts as Managing Director of The Lyman Group, a wealth management service for individuals, small corporations, and other organizations. His success in running this company has contributed to its listing among the 2011 South Florida Business Journal’s Premier Wealth Management Firms.
