Christopher Michael Pan
Christopher Michael Pan has more than 20 years of experience in financial advisory capacities, including executive positions with firms such as Merrill Lynch & Co., BNP Paribas S.A., and Barclays Capital. Christopher Pan has worked extensively in financial capitals such as London and Zurich, as well as in Asia, advising companies and individual high net worth clients on venture capital, equity, and restructuring strategies.
Before attaining his current position as Advisor to the Board of Venus First Ltd., Mr. Pan led the boutique investment firm Calypso Capital Pte. Ltd., which focused on strategic and financing advisory services primarily for companies engaging in Asian markets, such as China, Malaysia, Korea, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. The firm emphasized an independent approach in assisting with leveraged and management buyouts, private banking strategies, and equity and mezzanine capital placement.
Previously, Christopher Michael Pan spent several years as Director of Credit Suisse’s Investment Partners group. In this capacity, he worked with European and Asian clients with average accounts in the $75 million range, maintaining close client relationships through proactive financial advice and wealth management. From 2001 to 2003, Mr. Pan held a position as Executive Director with Regent’s College in London, with overarching responsibilities for fundraising and business development. He notably led a strategy of replenishing endowments and long-term development trusts through partnerships with corporations and exceptionally high net worth families. He also emphasized the development and restructuring of the College’s business activities, resulting in higher equity returns.
Mr. Pan holds a Bachelor of Arts with honors in Economics from Kingston University in Surrey, England. In his free time, Christopher Pan enjoys a wide variety of outdoor activities, including skiing, snowboarding, ski touring and triathlons.
