Bo Beckman
Bo Beckman, a financial innovator with 18 years of experience, began his career studying economics and political philosophy at the United States Air Force Academy and The University of Vermont. Upon earning his Bachelor’s degree, Bo Beckman accepted a position with Merrill Lynch in St. Paul, Minnesota, going on to develop a banking distribution program. He contributed several productive years to Norwest, Wells Fargo, and International Bankcorp before rejoining Merrill Lynch in 1999 as a specialist in large cap growth. In 2002, after spending a year on contract in California, Bo Beckman settled in Minnetonka, Minnesota, to direct the Wealth Management Group at HRBFA. Leveraging his knowledge of finance and money management, Bo Beckman started his own firm, The Oxford Private Client Group, in 2004.
Currently serving as the Managing Director of the private money management company, Bo Beckman maintains responsibility for creating the core strategy and making pivotal decisions at the firm. The Oxford Private Client Group’s process hinges on five axioms, developed by Bo Beckman, that enable the investing team to take a comprehensive look at markets while making final decisions based on the merits of a particular stock. To spread risk and preserve capital, The Oxford Private Client Group manages funds in a broad spectrum of industries, including energy, health care, financials, and utilities. In an effort to enhance productivity in a financial services platform, Bo Beckman formed the Maximum Efficiency Model. These inventive practices have helped The Oxford Private Client Group become one of fastest growing companies in the asset management industry, as recognized by Financial Advisor Magazine.

He shares his insights on asset management through keynote speeches and his industry-related books and articles.
