Andrew Sturner
With a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Juris Doctor, Andrew Sturner has used his education to develop an upper-level management career spanning 20 years. After success in the telecommunications and sports publishing industries, Mr. Sturner ventured into marina operations in 2002.
When he started Aqua Marine Partners, LLC, Andrew Sturner saw an opportunity to improve the availability of dry marine storage in South Florida. Since actual wet-slip space was at a growing premium and demand exceeded supply, Mr. Sturner began to construct dry-slips to supplement dockside storage. Now Aqua Marine Partners owns and manages nine marinas in Florida, Maryland, Georgia, and New York.
Mr. Sturner remains active and committed to the waterside communities in which his marinas are located. In 2008, the Lazy Days Marina, located on Lake Sidney Lanier in Buford, Georgia, hosted a National Marina Day celebration.
Mr. Sturner’s civic involvements include actively supporting Save Our Summers, a not-for-profit organization based in Aventura, Florida. Founded by Sturner’s wife, Sherry, the group seeks to keep the start of the school year from occurring too far in advance of Labor Day. He is also on the Building Regulatory Advisory Board of the Town of Golden Beach, Florida, and the Board of Trustees for Temple Sinai of North Dade.
