George Mentz

George Mentz is an experienced international attorney and a respected professor of law and business. He attended college in the US and Europe where he obtained his Bachelor of Arts in International Politics before fulfilling the requirements for the International Law Diploma Certificate Program at the Center for International Legal Studies.

After obtaining his international certification, George Mentz attended the Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, where he received his Juris Doctorate Degree with a Concentration in International Law. While at Loyola, Mentz completed studies in Madrid, Spain; Sao Paulo, Brazil; and Cuernavaca, Mexico. He also completed law courses at Tulane University Law School and William & Mary Law School. George Mentz received his Master of Business Administration from Loyola University New Orleans College of Business which is an AACSB Accredited business school.

George Mentz has taught extensively at the university level, as a professor of business law and legal environment as well as an instructor of business law, international law, and European Union law at Loyola University. In 2002, Mentz returned to Loyola as University an Assistant Professor of Legal Studies, teaching business law, legal environment, business, legal management, and ethics, among other subjects such as internet marketing and e-business technologies.

In addition, George Mentz served as adjunct faculty at the City College of Loyola University New Orleans from 1998 until 2005, before working as an Adjunct International Law professor for various undergraduate and MBA programs. Mentz held a full time leadership position for an online business school in business teaching management, marketing, law and other subjects in his position at Westwood College in Denver, Colorado, from 2000 to 2007 and operated as the school’s Lead Faculty Manager from 2003 to 2006. Prof. Mentz helped double the faculty and double enrollment while there.

George Mentz currently holds professorial status and faculty appointments with DeVry University and San Jose State University in Silicon Valley, as well as a membership in the LA Bar Association, International Project Management Commission and American Academy of Financial Management. He is also currently a member of the graduate law faculty at the Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, California where he is director of the wealth management curriculum.

In recognition of his teaching abilities and excellence, George Mentz has been presented with two Faculty Awards, a Distinguished Faculty Award, and a Team Faculty Award. He has developed and implemented college courses and curricula for multiple universities, and he contributes to alumni development and fundraising for various charities and institutions.

In addition to his teaching career, George Mentz currently operates as an attorney for his consumer protection and securities fraud law practice, Mentz Law, LLC.
