Dean Toriumi
Chicago resident Dr. Dean Toriumi currently serves as a Professor and the Director of Resident Research for the Division of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery within the Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Illinois at Chicago. A noted facial plastic surgeon, Dr. Dean Toriumi is world-renowned for rhinoplasty and secondary rhinoplasty. He also performs facelifts, eyelid surgeries, brow lifts, facial liposuction, and several other procedures. Dedicated to providing high-quality patient care, he has earned recognition for helping patients realize a natural aesthetic look while reducing complications from surgery.
With a long list of honors and accomplishments, Dr. Dean Toriumi is known as one of the foremost plastic surgeons in the United States. He was listed among the Best Cosmetic Surgeons in Town & Country magazine in 1999 and earned praise as one of the world’s top five rhinoplasty surgeons in W Magazine in 2000. In 2004, Dr. Dean Toriumi received the John Dickenson Teacher Award for sharing knowledge about facial plastic and reconstructive surgery using audiovisuals.

Earning his Doctor of Medicine from Rush Medical College, Dr. Dean Toriumi completed a general surgery residency at Metropolitan Group Hospitals with the University of Illinois. Afterwards, he served a second residency in otolaryngology - head and neck surgery at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and earned fellowships in facial and plastic reconstructive surgery at Tulane Medical Center and the University of Washington.
